What to Wear and the climate

Anytime at the Zimbabwe Bed and Breakfast Inns
When packing the main thing to think about is comfort. Safari clothing should be loose fitting cotton clothing, neutral in color (khaki or beige). Shorts, tee shirts, tennis shoes, sport sandals, or low heeled boots are acceptable. A brimmed hat and sunglasses are recommended for the UV ray protection (and sunblock). A light skirt or sundress for the evening out is always nice.

Winter
In the Winter months mid May through mid August, warm clothing should be included. You will need it for those early morning and evening game drives. Wear layered clothing so you can peel it down as the day warms up. A jacket, hat, gloves, long pants (zip off pants are nice) and a sweatshirt are all you need.

Rainy season
November to March bring a lightweight rain jacket or poncho. A plastic bag for your camera and binoculars is a good idea. Make sure you have a billed cap or hood to keep your head dry.

Summer
Don't forget your swimsuit and a pair of sandals or thongs for the pool side and they can double as your night time slippers September and October are the hottest months and are also the best gaming viewing.

Additional things to consider when packing:
• Chap stick and lip balm, moisturizing lotion, pre moistened towelettes.
• A scarf is always useful.
• Bring as little as possible, it is very inconvenient to lug around a lot of luggage. Laundry service is available at most hotels and lodges.

Health

See the "Travel Doctor" to make sure you are up to date on all of your immunizations. Most health plans have one, or see your GP Doctor for a referral.
